Refund Policy

2. Hosting Plans
New Purchases
New hosting plans (Managed WordPress, cPanel, Website Builder) are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of the original purchase date. To request a refund, contact us at support@hostmarauder.com with your order details.
Renewals
Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If a renewal was charged in error or you were not adequately notified, contact us within 5 days of the charge and we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation
You may cancel your hosting plan at any time through your account portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no further charges will be made, but the remainder of the paid term is not refunded unless within the 30-day window above.
3. Domain Registrations
Domain registrations and renewals are non-refundable. Once a domain is registered, the registration fee is paid to the domain registry and cannot be recovered, even if you cancel within minutes of registration.
Please double-check the domain name spelling before completing a domain purchase. We are not responsible for typographical errors in domain registrations.
Domain transfers to another registrar are permitted at any time after the 60-day lock period following registration, per ICANN policy.
4. Professional Services (Website Builds & Setup)
Before Work Begins
If you cancel a project before any work has commenced, you are eligible for a full refund of the deposit or payment made.
After Work Has Begun
Once work has started, refunds are not available for work already completed. We will provide a written summary of work completed to date. Any refund will be calculated based on the proportion of the project scope that remains undelivered.
After Delivery
Completed and delivered projects are non-refundable. If you are unsatisfied with delivered work, we will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns through revisions as defined in the project scope.
5. Care Plans
Care plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, but you will not be charged for future months after cancellation.
We do not offer refunds for care plan months already delivered.
6. SSL Certificates
SSL certificates are eligible for a refund only before the certificate has been issued. Once a certificate authority has issued the certificate, the product is considered used and is non-refundable.
If you purchased the wrong type or term of SSL certificate before issuance, contact us and we will assist with a replacement.
7. Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 subscriptions are non-refundable once activated. This is consistent with Microsoft's licensing terms and the terms of our reseller agreement.
If you believe you were charged in error or have not yet activated your subscription, contact us within 24 hours of purchase.
8. Refund Process
To request a refund, email us at support@hostmarauder.com with:
- Your name and account email address
- The order or invoice number
- The product or service you're requesting a refund for
- The reason for the refund request
We will respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
9. Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in the following situations:
- Accounts terminated for violations of our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service
- Requests made outside the applicable refund window
- Repeated refund requests suggesting abuse of the policy
- Situations where the product or service was already consumed or delivered
In cases of genuine billing errors or exceptional circumstances, we will work with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution even if it falls outside the standard policy.
