WordPress Care Plans

WordPress maintenance handled — every month, without reminders.

An unmanaged WordPress site drifts. Plugins go stale, security gaps open up, and small issues compound. A care plan is the difference between a site that stays healthy and one that breaks at the worst moment.

Why It Matters

WordPress sites don't maintain themselves.

WordPress is powerful precisely because of its plugin ecosystem. That same ecosystem is also the most common attack surface. Every plugin, theme, and core update that doesn't get applied is a potential vulnerability sitting open.

And it's not just security. Plugins conflict. Updates break layouts. Backups don't run automatically unless someone sets them up. Analytics stop tracking. Forms go silent. None of these announce themselves — they just quietly fail.

A care plan isn't a luxury. It's the operational layer that keeps a WordPress site functioning the way it did when it launched.

What Can Go Wrong
🔓
Security vulnerabilities
Outdated plugins are the #1 entry point for WordPress hacks. One unpatched plugin can compromise your entire site.
💥
Update conflicts
A WordPress core update can break a plugin. A plugin update can break your layout. Without testing, you find out when a customer does.
🗑️
No working backup
Most hosting backups aren't configured or tested. When something goes wrong, the backup either doesn't exist or can't be restored.
🐢
Performance decay
Unused plugins, accumulated data, and missed caching configurations slow a site down gradually. You don't notice until customers do.

The Difference

Without a plan vs. with one.

This is what the operational reality looks like on both sides.

Without a Care Plan
  • Updates sit for months until something breaks
  • Site gets hacked through an outdated plugin
  • No backup — or a backup that doesn't actually restore
  • Site goes down and you find out from a customer
  • Emergency cleanup costs $349+ and takes days
  • Gradual slowdown nobody notices until rankings drop
With a Care Plan
  • Updates applied monthly in a staging environment first
  • Security scans catch issues before they become incidents
  • Daily or weekly backups tested and stored off-site
  • Uptime alerts go to us — we handle it before you notice
  • Problems caught early cost far less to fix
  • Site performance stays consistent month to month

Common Questions

Care Plan FAQ.

Do I need a care plan if I'm on managed WordPress hosting?
Managed WordPress hosting handles server-level maintenance. It does not handle plugin updates, theme updates, backup testing, security scanning, content edits, or anything specific to your site's configuration. A care plan covers that layer.
What if my site breaks during an update?
On Standard and Priority plans, we test updates in a staging environment before applying them to your live site. If something breaks in staging, we resolve it before it ever affects your live site. On Basic, we monitor after updates and fix issues within the SLA response time.
Can I sign up if my site wasn't built by you?
Yes. We do a site audit first to understand the setup and identify any existing issues. If we find problems, we'll let you know and quote any remediation work separately before starting the plan.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
No long-term contract. Plans are billed monthly and you can cancel anytime. We'd rather keep you because the service is worth it.
What counts as "included work" in Standard and Priority?
Any task on your existing site — content edits, image swaps, adding a page, plugin configuration, small CSS fixes. Work is tracked in 15-minute increments. Unused time doesn't roll over. Anything beyond the included time is billed at our standard hourly rate.
